Rental FAQ
What do I need to have to rent equipment?
All you need to rent equipment is a valid Drivers License and a credit or debit card for payment and rental deposit. A state ID is acceptable for the rental if the rental item does not need to be towed by a vehicle. Prepaid cards are not acceptable for rental deposits.
When will you charge my credit card?
We will ask you how long you anticipate needing the rental equipment for when you come to rent the equipment. We will charge your card for the total rental amount based on the length of time you estimate. When you bring the equipment back you will be credited for any overcharges, or charged for any balance due. The longer you keep the equipment the more expensive the rental will be, so it is in your best interest to return the equipment promptly! If you keep the rental equipment more than a day longer than the original estimated length of time we may charge your card for the accumulating balance on a daily basis.
How long can I keep the rental equipment?
You may keep the rental equipment as long as you need to in order to complete your project! We ask that you please provide a close estimate of how long you will need the equipment when you place your rental order so that we have an idea of when we can expect the return of the equipment We ask that if you plan on keeping the equipment longer than originally expected that you please call us to let us know.
I rented a piece of equipment for the minimum hours but I need it a little longer. Will I be charged for the whole day if I keep the equipment for longer than minimum hours?
This depends on how long you decide to keep the equipment for. The rental rate will be prorated on an hourly basis after the minimum rental period ends.
Can I make a reservation for a piece of equipment?
Yes, we do accept reservations for equipment but all reservations must be done in person. Reservations are non-cancellable and non-refundable. We require a 50% prepayment to be made on the reservation to secure the equipment for your requested date. All reservations begin when we open for the day of your choosing. For example, if you reserve a piece of equipment for Friday, the rental will begin Friday at 7:30am even if you do not pick it up until 9:30am. Your billable time with the equipment still begins at 7:30am. Reservations not picked up by 10:00am will be considered a no-show. No-shows will forfeit their prepayment and may not be re-scheduled for a later date.
Do I need to clean the equipment before I return it?
Yes, we ask that you please make a reasonable effort to clean excess dirt off of the equipment before you return it. Please do not disassemble any part of the rental equipment to clean--our staff will do a thorough cleaning of the equipment once it is returned. Just do your best to clean off dirt on the exterior of the equipment. Use a garden hose to rinse off dirt and mud, or use a rag to wipe off grease or oil. Customers who return excessively dirty equipment may be charged a cleaning fee.
Do I need to fill the gas tank up before I return the equipment?
Our power equipment come with either a full tank of gas or diesel fuel depending on the rental item. You are responsible for returning any gasoline powered rental equipment full of gasoline and any diesel powered rental equipment full of diesel fuel. Failure to return the items full of the appropriate fuel will incur an additional charge.
Do you offer delivery and pickup service?
We absolutely do! Please give us a call for a delivery and pickup quote based on your project's location.
What is the damage waiver?
The damage waiver is an additional 10% charge which covers accidental damage to rental equipment while in the customer's possession. It does not cover theft, vandalism, tire damage on trailers, or damage resulting from negligent action. You may choose to decline the damage waiver; however you will be held financially responsible for any and all damage which may happen to the rental equipment while in your possession and all costs associated with said damage will be charged to your credit card.
Do you accept cash or personal checks?
We do not accept personal checks. We only accept business checks from local businesses who have an existing account. We do accept cash as payment, however, we do require a credit card to be used for the deposit on the rental. This means that your credit card will be charged for the total rental when you pick up the rental equipment. If you would like to pay cash when you return the equipment we will be happy to refund your credit card.
